  • And lastly, just so you know: I LOVE YOUR CREATIONS!

Tell me something about this world that you admire

If you couldn’t tell from my blog name, I absolutely love the moon! Every night, whatever phase the moon is in, I can always be found staring up at the night sky from my window. I love that it makes me feel so small. I love that it makes me feel inspired. I love the power of the moon, both physically and symbolically throughout history. I love the thought that I’m staring up at the same moon as people I admire looked at (and even wrote about!) like Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Virginia Woolf, George Orwell… I feel so lucky that, weather-dependent, I am able to see it every night. Such a small thing to some people is such a luxury to me.

What is your favourite form of creativity?

I’m not sure if it’s a cop out to say that my favourite form of creativity is writing on here! I love it. I’ve definitely dipped in and out of love with blogging but at the moment, I’m in a “in-love” moment. Besides it being a great way to get creative, I get to talk about topics that I love and I get to know the lovely people in this book community here ❤

I nominate:

Don’t feel pressured to do the tag but I would absolutely love to read your answers! Also, apologies if you’ve already been tagged to do this.

  1. Naemi @ A Book Owl’s Corner
  2. Michaela @ Journey into Books
  3. Stargazer
  4. Ally @ Ally Writes Things

My questions

  1. What’s one thing that made you really happy this past week? 🙂
  2. What one book do you keep saying you need to read but never get to it?
  3. Shuffle your Spotify playlist (*other music providers available*) and tell me the first five songs that come up!
  4. If you could be best friends with any book character, who would it be and why?

Share something you created

I’m going to share my photography on Instagram! I love taking photos and have done for years now. Although I’ve definitely fallen in and out of love with Instagram, my love for taking photos and telling stories has always remained.

I’m determined to get my Instagram feed to look like something out of Studio Ghibli movie.

Maria’s questions:

Do you have any role models that inspire you?

I really admire people who do things their own way and don’t pay attention to what society expects of them, I admire people who are kind and compassionate, and I admire people who go through life with a smile on their face even through the hardest of times.

I did just finish reading a biography of Jane Austen and I must say, she was an extraordinary person. I definitely admire her.

What is a skill that you would like to improve?

I’ve been trying to incorporate more inversions in my yoga practice. I can do headstands fine, but handstands are another story entirely. I don’t know why I’m so terrified of the idea of being upside down and balancing on my hands. I need to improve my strength and my confidence with it!

Are you a mood reader or do you have strict TBRs?

I used to have TBRs but now I’m entirely a mood reader! I love the flexibility and freedom that it gives me; it’s definitely made me enjoy reading more. I see the pros of having a TBR and I used to really love them as it gave some structure to my reading and a goal to aim for, however, it’s just not worked for me recently.

Although, I do have a huge TBR of all the books that I want to read eventually.

What is the one aspect of a book that usually stands out to you?

For me it’s definitely descriptions of nature that really stand out to me in a book. I absolutely adore beautiful descriptions of the changing seasons, the sea, the forests, mountains, the night sky… Absolutely anything to do with nature! That’s one of the reasons why I loved Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami so much ❤

Thank you for reading this post!

I hope you enjoyed.

Love, Zoë x

  1. Those pictures of yours are absolutely gorgeous! Seriously, I need some of your talent!
Also, I totally relate to you gushing about the moon – one of the best things about my new apartment is that I have a skylight almost directly above my bed, so that I can just lay there and watch the moon and stars above me 🥰
Also, thanks so much for the tag! I will definitely do it at some point, but you know me – it might take a while 😂
