My December TBR

Hi everyone,

If you know me at all, you’ll know that I’m a huge seasonal reader and I love reading books set in snowy, wintery places in December, gothic and grizzly books in Autumn etc. etc.

I’ve tried to make my December TBR as wintery and Christmassy as is possible.

Here’s what I’m planning on reading this December!

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

I read this book every year, around Christmas and always aim to read the last few chapters on Christmas Eve night!

Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie

I’m not too sure why I associate this book with Christmas time, but there’s something about the childhood magic that really resonates with this time of year. This version has beautiful illustrations and all sorts of pull-outs and interactive elements!

Frost Fair and Another Night Before Christmas by Carol Ann Duffy

Each year Carol Ann Duffy releases a little Christmassy poetry book. I only have 2 in my collection; Another Night Before Christmas I bought and read last year and Frost Fair is a new purchase.

Winter Stories by Enid Blyton

The perfect short story collection by one of the best children’s authors!

A Maigret Christmas and Other Stories by Georges Simenon

A little diffrent Christmas read. This one is a short story collection of Christmas themed and wintery sent mystery stories.

The Night Before Christmas by Clement C. Moore

I will definietly be reading this short picture-book on Christmas Eve before I go to sleep!

Winter Magic created by Abi Elphinstone

I read this book last year and loved some of the stories in it. I’m looking forward to re-reading some of my favourite wintery and magical stories.

What are you planning on reading this December?

Thanks for reading!

Love, Zoë xx
