It’s that time of the month again… favourites time!
Here’s some things I’ve been loving this month.
The Empire Film Podcast
I’m really trying to get more into films. I mean, I’ve always loved films but I feel like I’ve never appreciated them as much as I should or as a work of art. I’m guilty of 1. falling asleep whilst watching anything longer than an hour and 2. picking up my phone for a quick flick through Instagram (I know, shocking). Or at least that’s what I tell myself – it normally escalates into me looking at my phone for half an hour and before I know it, I’ve no idea what’s going on.
The Empire Film podcast features movie news, interviews with actors and directors, and film-related chat between the hosts. The best thing is that the podcasts are long enough to while away an hour or two at work… (whilst simultaneously keeping a list handy of all the great films mentioned that are now on my “to watch” list).
Do you have any good podcast recommendations? I’ve recently really gotten into them.
I have discovered a new found lovel for Pinterest of late. There’s something about creating moodboards, seeing so many beautiful photos merge together to reflect your mood, a season, a theme…
I could scroll for hours on Pinterest (probably doesn’t combine well with my desire to watch more films though…) and fall into a deep, deep hole of creative, amazing photos.
I’ve found some great recipes/photos/quotes on Pinterest – check out my account here.
Day Trips in England
In case you haven’t heard (because we do like to talk about the weather a lot) but a week ago it was very sunny and very warm in England. Therefore, it was perfect weather for getting out and exploring places on my doorstep for once. This month I visited Canterbury and Brighton and, although I’ve seen them both before, everything definitely looks more beautiful, fresh and enchanting in the sun. And it’s the perfect opportunity to make the most of the vitamin D!
To tie in with the good weather, I have loved doing my yoga practice outside when I can. There’s something very special about rolling out your yoga mat on the grass, the feel of the early morning sun, and the sound of the birds as you begin to flow. It’s a magical expereince and makes the perfect yoga setting. I have recently written a post about my journey with yoga and why I love it so much. You can check that out here.
Hemp Oil Tablets
This may be a controversial topic but this month I have started taking hemp oil tablets every morning after researching the benefits of this plant. Although it’s only been a month, I have genuinely noticed a difference. My skin is looking better and more glowy (if I may say so myself), and I haven’t had any bad headaches like I usually get. My mood has also improved. It’s definitely something that I’m going to continue to use!
Game of Thrones
It’s back! I have been waiting for this for so long and the first 3 episodes did not disappoint (that third episode though…?!) This post is SPOILER FREE so I won’t say much more other than that I’m absolutely loving it.
Have you been watching Game of Thrones recently?
Those are my favourites for the month of April. What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments.
Thanks for reading.
