The Joy of Christmas Book Tag

Hi everyone,

Merry Christmas! This is my last post before signing off until the end of the year when I’ll hopefully be back with a yearly wrap-up.

As with all the tags I do, I’m not specifically tagging anyone but if you read this and really want to join in then please do! I would love to hear your answers.

#1 Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?

Quiet by Fearne Cotton

*Technically this was released a week ago but, as it’s so close to the end of the year and I won’t be able to read it until the new year, I’ve decided that this is my most anticipated book*

I’ve read Fearne’s 2 other books (Happy and Calm) and absolutely loved them. They are beautifully illustrated and so, so helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

#2 Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing it’s praises?

At the moment, it’s George Orwell. I have loved everything I’ve ever read by him. I think his work was very revolutionary and continues to be relevant today. Everyone should at least read his most famous works: 1984, Animal Farm and Down and Out in Paris and London.

#3 Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful world building?

Without a doubt, this question has to be dedicated to the Harry Potter book series. In fact, there’s so many wonderful world buildings in this series that it’s hard to choose the best: Hogwarts, the Burrow, the Ministry of Magic…

#4 A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one that you want to read?

Funnily enough, my favourite classic is A Christmas Carol and I’m reading it right now!

#5 Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas?

Any! I love receiving books for Christmas.

#6 Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?

The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Such a Christmassy and wintry feeling book but there’s so much nostalgia in this read for me that I can’t help but feel warm and fuzzy when I read it.

#7 Christmas Trees & Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?

Any of the Penguin Clothbound Classics. I think they’re absolutely beautiful and would love to own them all.

#8 Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories?

My favourite things about Christmas are getting to see family, the food, relaxing and  giving presents.

Merry Christmas!

Zoe xx
