Just a quick post today to show you the books I’ve bought in January! I always feel like I have to limit myself to the amount of books I buy a month, purely because I’m currently living in my student accommodation and I don’t want to have to lug thousands of books home with me in July! (Trust me, with my addiction to buying new books, 1,000 is not an exaggeration).
#1 A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R. R. Martin
I’m obsessed with the ASOIAF series by George R.R. Martin and this is set 100 years before! I think it will be really interesting to get an insight into all the history that is spoken about in ASOIAF currently.
#2 Happy by Fearne Cotton
Perfect for relaxing after my stressful university days!
#3 Calm by Fearne Cotton
I really liked the look of both of these Fearne Cotton books; they’re filled with useful and achievable mindfulness advice as well as interactive pages you can fill out!
#4 Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
I’d seen so many people on Youtube talking about and reviewing this book and it was all pretty positive! So, being the easily-persuaded person I am, I went onto Amazon and bought it straight away!
#5 Light on Yoga by B.K.S Iyengar
One of my New Year’s goals was to do more yoga. I did start to get really into it in 2017, but just couldn’t motivate myself to do it frequently. So far this year (and fingers crossed this continues on), I’ve been doing yoga pretty much everyday and have really been loving it. It’s now part of my evening routine to get my yoga mat out, light some candles and some incense and just relax. I really wanted to have a yoga book in my collection that talks through some of the historical roots of the practice and is also a useful guide to poses/flows, and this seems to be the perfect guide!
Thank you so much for reading my January book haul! What books are you excited to read next month?
